Fred the Monster Pig

Just because it’s sure to get less press than the original story about Alabama’s bigger-than-Hogzilla Monster Pig, I wanted to make sure that you heard the new scoop that said horror hog was, in fact, a farm-raised thing named Fred. That kid who shot him with a .50 pistol (or something) was hunting him in an enclosed property. They’d released Fred just to hunt him. On the one hand, this is as lame as releasing pheasants from little cages just to “hunt” them. On the other hand, it is a 12-foot-long monster pig, so there’s still some real menace there, yeah?

Also, I think Fred was like a black-belt in Tae Kwon Do or something, so it was more or less a fair fight.
